Review: Parachutes by Kelly Yang

Whilst this book tackles heavy topics, I feel like it also does really well in exploring both privilege and rape culture. 

Even though, this one packed a punch, I felt that the pacing wasn't quite right and it felt slightly-off kilter to me. However, I really felt the the characters were raw and real, and I was wanting to read on. I enjoyed reading about the characters' aspirations. Meshing all this into a tale about both rape culture and privilege, I felt like this was rather heavy in parts, but I also felt like it was important to read.

Overall, an important, but interesting feminist read!
