Review: Reborn- Jennifer Rush

I found this book had a simple plot- guy saves girl (and taking her away from her crush). I wasn't expecting much from the book, but was happy to see a different element- memory alteration- added into the story. There wasn't enough action in it though. Rating: 3 / 5

Review: Glitch- Heather Anastasiu

I thought the storyline was fairly basic- humans under neurochip control. It was a tolerable story, until the plot just started throwing in unnecessary things. It was fairly disappointing as a dystopian book, and in my opinion could've been written better. I certainly didn't appreciate the insinuated "go kill yourself" towards the end of the book; which was totally unnecessary. Rating: 2/ 5

Review: Persuasion- Jane Austen

I honestly struggled to read the first half of the book, however I did enjoy the detail given for every character of importance. I liked how Persuasion focused on societal standings, reconnecting, and second chances- focusing mainly on the rather 'high-class' Elliot family, namely the bland and plain Anne. Once I picked the book up as an audiobook, it was much easier to immerse myself into the book. Rating: 3/ 5

Review: Beta- Rachel Cohn

I liked how the story developed and kept having plot twists, made the story truly interesting. The things the Beta was told, and the chip that helped her on the island proving to be 'fake news' took me on a page-turning adventure. Only downside is that there were a few grammar mistakes. Rating: 4/ 5

Review: Zero Repeat Forever - G. S. Prendergast

This book was intense from the get go. Autumn/Eighth and Raven were an unlikely match- the alien humanoid who's kind are "human-killing" and the human, who are tried to survive on their own. This made for an interesting tale, which has now left me empty on the inside! Rating: 4/ 5
