This was quite an intense book. It made me sit there and think a bit. It focuses on some serious issues such as death and suicide. Finch was a truely oddball character, but I found that the oddballness was nicely balanced by Violet, a morose girl in mourning after her sister died in a car crash. Their adventures made for a meaningful story.
