Review: Cross Game Books 1&2 (volumes 1-5)

I feel as if this is a basic coming of age shonen manga. However, I feel that the story is well developed and deserves its credit. The graphics are sometimes very bare, although in the more intense scenes, it is very, very graphic. Overall the story plot is good, but it is missing a lot of character development on one of the main characters. My feelings towards this series is that it is a good Sunday afternoon read. Review: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo- Stieg Larsson

This gripping novel was an excellent example of how to write a crime/mystery novel. It featured multiple facets and perspectives, coming from multiple parties. I absolutely loved how all the characters became intertwined into one very complex tale. At times the story was very dense and gruesome, but you don't get that in a lot of books these days, so much appreciated. Thrilling from start to finish, a must read for crime/mystery lovers and fans of the movie alike. Rating: 4/5

Book review: The Hunt by Stacey Kade

A stunning sequel to the  The Rules , this book focuses a lot more on the character development and plot of book one. I love the addition of the lesser characters, which end up playing a huge role later on in the book. This one focuses a lot more on the relationships between protagonist Arianne and others and proves to be a delightful addition to the story, rather than dull it down. The contrasts between each definitely make this one a page turner! Rating: 4.3/5
