Beware of the book dragon!

I felt like this book could've left out about 100-150 pages of text that wasn't really needed in this book as it was all viewpoints from other characters that were minor. There wasn't a lot of gossip or drama in the book, and the plot-twist at the end was rather weak. The saving grace for this book for me was that the book was well translated from the French, as translations can often miss the meaning of the book. Rating: 2.5/5

A bittersweet, heartwarming story that plays on the themes of friendships, loneliness, and loyalty. Written in the cat's perspective, the humour was well put. The sentiment really hit home on this one and I'm trying not to cry after finishing. Rating: 5/5

I felt that this was a cute little YA romance book. The characters has their highs and lows, and it was just perfectly intertwined together. The dual perspective, the idea of universe and fate, the banter, and the inclusion of a fun but crazy side-character just egged me on to keep reading. That ending though- I wish there was more. Rating: 4/5

This book was just so wow. Hacked emails, case files, surveillance footage descriptions, court marshal proceedings and cool artwork to boot. Also had amazing detail, a seemingly insane AI, and a compelling story to boot. One of the most exciting (and surely unique) books I've ever read. Rating: 5/5

Euripides makes these plays fun by adding a sense of mockery to each tale. There is a lot going on in each play, and often times I needed to reread sections to understand what was going on. Rating: 3/5

A light and very entertaining read, set in steampunk 1800s. It is  full of great ideas and great worldbuilding, however the plot wasn't quite thick enough for my tastes. The book did tick the box for me, as it felt sort of spy-like. Rating: 3/5

An interesting concept for a book, however it had so many cliches and a bland writing style. The book started off reallllllllllllly slowly and then the last 100 or so pages went by so fast. As a one-off read, it was enjoyable enough to keep me satisfied though. Rating: 3/5
